πŸ”¬ Science Club (Ages 6–8)

Thursday 29 October 2026 11:00 – 11:40 (Europe/London)

About this session

Join my small, interactive online Science Exploration Club for children aged 6–8.

Each 40-minute session explores a different area of primary Science in a friendly, supportive environment. Sessions are designed to encourage children to ask questions, share ideas, observe, compare, describe and make connections as they learn about the world around them.

The Primary National Curriculum is used as a guide for the topics we explore, while sessions are designed to be accessible, engaging and responsive to the children.

We explore a wide range of topics, including:

🌱 Plants & Animals – Plant parts and their functions, plant lifecycles, animals and habitats, food chains, and grouping living things.

πŸ” Everyday Materials – Identifying objects and materials, exploring properties such as hard, soft and flexible, and looking at how different materials are used.

🌀️ Our Changing World – Seasonal changes, weather and plants, light and dark, the Solar System and the water cycle.

🧠 The Human Body & Healthy Living – Learning about our bodies and exploring what helps us stay healthy.

πŸͺ¨ Rocks & Forces – Rocks, soils and fossils, pushes and pulls, movement and magnets.

πŸ”Š Sound & Electricity – Exploring how sound works, simple electrical circuits and electrical safety.

Throughout the sessions, children are encouraged to think like scientists by observing, describing, comparing, sorting, answering questions and explaining their ideas β€” all at a level that's accessible and supportive.

Sessions are particularly suited to children who enjoy asking β€œWhy?”, including children with SEN and neurodivergent learning styles who benefit from a calm, visual and low-pressure approach to learning.

My aim is to create those β€œOh, I get it!” moments while helping children build confidence, curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world around them. πŸ’š
