📚 English Club (Ages 6–8)
About this session
Join our small, supportive online English Exploration Club for children aged 6–8.
Each 40-minute session is hosted live via Google Meet, designed to be a relaxed, encouraging space where children feel confident to try, make mistakes, and discover the joy of language. At Rivers Tutoring, our aim is to move away from "drill-and-test" lessons and toward a collaborative approach where we build reading, writing, and communication skills together.
These sessions are suitable for children learning at primary-aged levels, including those with SEN, neurodivergent learning styles, or anyone who just needs a lower-pressure environment to find their voice.
In our sessions, your child will:
🟡Explore Phonics & Reading: Building fluency and confidence with words in a fun, shared way.
🟡Discover Storytelling: Developing comprehension through shared stories and active discussion.
🟡Play with Grammar: Understanding the building blocks of language—nouns, verbs, and adjectives—through creative games rather than just worksheets.
🟡Practice Writing: Gently introducing sentence structure, punctuation, and the magic of creative writing.
I believe that when children feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their ideas, the learning happens naturally.
