⚡ Science Explorers Club (Ages 9–11)
About this session
Join my small, interactive online Science Exploration Club for children aged 9–11.
Each 40-minute session explores a different area of Science in a friendly, supportive environment. Sessions are designed to help children build their scientific knowledge, ask questions, explain their ideas, make connections and think carefully about the world around them.
The Primary National Curriculum is used as a guide for the topics we explore, but sessions are designed around the children, with a focus on making Science accessible, interesting and enjoyable.
We explore a wide range of topics, including:
🚀 Forces, Light & Sound – Pushes and pulls, movement, light and sound.
🌍 Earth & Space – Our planet, the Solar System, natural disasters and ideas about life beyond Earth.
🧬 The Human Body & Living Things – Organs, bones and muscles, digestion and teeth, animals, habitats and living things.
🌱 Plant Biology – Plant structure, functions, lifecycles and reproduction.
⚡ Materials & Electricity – Solids, liquids and gases, properties and changes of materials, electricity and circuits.
🦴 Evolution, Fossils & Classification – Fossils, evolution and inheritance, classification and microorganisms.
🌿 Our Environment – Pollution and environmental impact.
🔬 Working Scientifically – Developing skills such as observing, comparing, classifying, asking questions, using evidence and explaining scientific ideas.
Sessions are particularly suited to children who enjoy asking “How does that work?”, including children with SEN and neurodivergent learning styles who benefit from a calm, visual and supportive approach.
My aim is to help children develop confidence in Science, curiosity about the world and those brilliant “Oh, I understand now!” moments while building a strong foundation of scientific knowledge. 💚
